Bequest / Will
Include a gift to Hudson Highlands Land Trust in your will by designating a specific amount, percentage, or asset. To make a bequest, consult your financial advisor or attorney to add the proposed language below to your will:
- General Bequest: “I bequeath the sum of ____ to Hudson Highlands Land Trust, Inc. 20 Nazareth Way PO Box 226, Garrison, NY 10524, for its unrestricted charitable use and purpose.”
- Residuary Bequest: “I bequeath all or ____% of the remainder of my estate to the Hudson Highlands Land Trust, Inc. 20 Nazareth Way, PO Box 226, Garrison, NY 10524, for its unrestricted charitable use and purpose.”
- Contingent Bequest: “In the event any of my beneficiaries predeceases me or disclaims any interest in _________ (describe asset or portion of estate) I give such property to the Hudson Highlands Land Trust, Inc. 20 Nazareth Way PO Box 226, Garrison, NY 10524, for its unrestricted charitable use and purpose.”

You may leave real estate to Hudson Highlands Land Trust to support conservation efforts. We gratefully accept land for permanent protection and other property for resale to benefit our mission.
Retirement Plan or Life Insurance Beneficiary
You can designate the Hudson Highlands Land Trust, Inc. as a beneficiary on your retirement plan (e.g. IRA, 401(K), etc.) or life insurance policy. These gifts avoid probate and may be a tax-wise way to support conservation.
